The Northern Medical Center was a joint project between the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and the University of Northern British Columbia in Prince George. The extremely important facility allows doctors to take their training in the North and then start their practices in the northern communities.

Western Industrial Contractors Ltd. has assembled a comprehensive design and construction team and was one of the three short-listed firms selected to submit a detailed design-build proposal. Following the close of the RFP, School District #57 (Prince George) selected our firm, and the project agreement was negotiated and signed within 30 days with construction starting the following week. The new concrete + Steele structure will be LEED.

Northern Health Authority 165 unit facility, wood-frame; public funding; building. Western Industrial Contractors provided immediate full-scope construction management of the project with the assistance of Clients Project Managers. Established contracts, cost control, schedule, and management protocols. Ability to construct a long overdue and much-needed facility in the local community of Prince George, BC.
